Summary: He never knew that his brother's small wish that he granted will bring him into an unexpected romance, and a sudden turn out of things that he didn't expect to happen.

"So what brings you here, Ryeowook-sshi?" Yesung sat on the chair across the said young man, sitting two steaming cups of coffee and a plate of blueberry cheescake for Ryeowook on the table. It was only seven thirty in the morning, and the cafe was just starting to be filled with customers, mostly the regular ones. Yesung would smile at them from time to time as they enter the place, the chimes hanging on the doorframe creating sweet sounds.

Ryeowook sipped from his cup of coffee and glanced up at Yesung. The latter was smiling, his small eyes turning even smaller, his cheeks bulging a bit. It was really cute, and Ryeowook found himself slightly blushing. Well, slightly-- he doesn't want to admit it but his reddenning cheeks said it all"Uhm... classes would start at eight thirty, so I still have an hour left. I left home earlier today, so I decided to go for a coffee."

Yesung nodded, taking a sip from his own cup of coffee. They stayed silent and glanced outside the window, watching as the number of people slowly piled up, the morning sun's light casting upon them through the transparent glass windows. The somehow awkward silence was deafening to their ears, but neither dared to start a conversation.

"Yesung!" A small man, who was about a few inches taller than Ryeowook called Yesung from the counter, making the both of them turn their attentions to him. He was wearing the same set of clothes, so Ryeowook supposed that he was Yesung's fellow worker. "I know that you're enjoying your sweet little friend's company over there, but Heechul should be here soon, and you know how he'll be if he sees you sitting there," the man continued and smiled at Ryeowook, which he gave a smile in return.

Yesung smiled apologetically at him, his hands reaching up to his nape. "Uh... I... I need to go back to work, Ryeowook-sshi, would you be okay alone in here?"

"Kim Yesung! Move faster and help me here, you idiot!"

"I know, I know! I'll be there in a minute, Min!"

Ryeowook nodded with a smile, his cheekbones prominent as he does. He watched as the other hurriedly walked back and disappeared from his sight, hips bumping against the counter and he let out a soft whimper, his eyes closed, his hands rubbing his sore hip. And Ryeowook let out a soft laugh. The man never failed to amuse him, which he sees as a good thing.

Fishing out a small notepad and a pen from his messenger bag, Ryeowook wrote something on a baby blue sticky note and placed it on the table before standing up and leaving the place. He only have fifteen minutes left till classes start after spending his time sitting on that certain corner of the cafe near the windows. He casted one last glance ot the counter with reddened cheeks before finally pushing the glass door open, its chimes singing a sweet melody once again.

Noticing that the other already left, Yesung approached the table where Ryeowook was supposed to be sitting on to get it clean and ready for another customer. However, he raised an eyebrow upon seeing a small, blue sticky note innocently perched on the table. There were some digits written on the paper along with a message, so he assumes that it was the younger's cellphone number.

"Meet me at the park later at three thirty, yes? Let's take Donghae out. ^^" -Ryeowook

A smile unconciously crept up to Yesung's face, his thumb stroking the small paper. He was grinning like an idiot and he just stood there, the sticky note in his right hand and his cleaning materials in the other. Ryeowook was asking him out. No, them, actually cause the younger male said that wanted to take his younger brother out. That burst his bubble, though. But he was still happy, nonetheless. At least he's still going to hang out with Ryeowook, and his beloved younger brother seemed to love the smaller man so much, so he thought it was okay.

Yesung's shift ends at 2:45 pm everyday. After his shift, he usually goes to Donghae's school to fetch him. His brother was studying in a public day care center not too far away from their small apartment, so they always walk home together.

"Donghae!" Yesung yelled as he saw his brother running around the place, his giggles echoing through the crisp Spring air.

Donghae stopped running and turned his head to his hyung, his giggle, if ever possible sounded louder as he ran towards Yesung's direction. "Hyung!" The seven year-old kid beamed, giving his hyung a hug. His tiny arms encircled Yesung's neck, an unspoked request to lift him up. The older did as Donghae wanted, picking the latter's small backpack, carrying it with one hand.

"Hyung, are we going to the park?" Donghae asked excitedly, wiggling his feet, not failing to hit Yesung's chest.

Yesung whimpered a little as he nodded. He heard his brother squeak in happiness, feeling a small, soft and moist thing against his cheek. He chuckled and stopped walking as they were near the park's entrance, and Donghae immediately jumped out of Yesung grasp and ran into the small man standing behind the fountain.

"Ryeowookie Hyuuunnngg! I missed you so much!" Donghae squeaked as he glomped the said man with Ryeowook almost tripping over nothing.

Ryeowook ruffled the little kid's hair, fishing out a small candy from his bag and giving it to Donghae. The said boy thank him and once again ran around the place, shifting from one place to another. He felt a small warm brushed his own and he looked down, only to see Yesung's hand almost touching his. He blushed a little and looked away, avoiding any eye contact.

"Hi..." Yesung greeted timidly, voice sounding a little softer than his usual tone. His cheeks were tinted with a light shade of red, and the sun was shining down on them, making them more visible.

Ryeowook tilted his head, his fringe brushing to the side. "Let's seat, shall we?" When Yesung nodded, they walked to a place in the park which was more private and quiet.

The trees were dancing with the air, leaves creating shuffling sounds as they move. The sunlight peeked from the spaces between the leaves, shyly revealing itself. "Do you hate your mother, Yesung?"

Yesung was slightly taken aback by the sudden personal question. He tried to dig from the deepest part of his mind, recalling everything that had happened. Does he really hate her? Everything that happened to him and Donghae for the past five years since she left the two of them alone by themselves was buried on the back of his mind so many years ago. He never wanted to remember them again cause surely, they were nightmares. He sighed as he opened his mouth to say anything sensible. "Would it be wrong if I say I do?"

Ryeowook stared at him with big, round eyes. The said younger man remained silent and just looked at him, as if studying every inch of his being. He felt quite uncomfortable, but he didn't tell the other man.

"No..." Ryeowook answered after some mintues of silence. He can't think of anything else nice to say. He can't say that yes, it was wrong to hate her cause he wasn't the one who was left alone with a big responsibility to raise his younger brother at a young age. He wasn't the one who was abandoned by his own mother to remarry another man. He wasn't. It was Yesung. "But if you were given a chance to see her again... to be with her again... what would you do?"

"I don't know... I don't know, Ryeowook. Maybe I would want to run into her arms and hug her tight as if I'm afraid to let her go again. I would want her to take care of us like she does back then. I would like to have someone to call umma, again. I want to have a mother who would welcome me and Donghae home and prepare us dinner... But all those want and longing vanish whenever the things she had done come rushing back to me like it just happened yesterday. I... I don't know..." Ryeowook hugged the older man as he heard him choke a sob, salty tears damping his shirt. He rubbed circles on his back as a way of comforting him, only to hear Yesung's sobs turning into loud cries-- and Ryeowook could hear his own heart shatter at the view of the other hurting like this.

Yesung cried against the crook of his neck, and Ryeowook did not mind it at all. His hand continued to stroke Yesung's back, the other running through the older's jet black hair. Ryeowook pulled Yesung's head from his hold and stared at his red, puffy eyes. The latter looked like a lost child, and Ryeowook felt like protecting him. "Ssh, Yesung, don't cry..." he cooed, carressing the other's chubby cheeks, wiping the tears away using his thumb.

He didn't know why he did it, but it was too late before he realized what he was doing. He kissed the other's cheeks softly and leaned closer, closing the distance between their lips. Ryeowook kissed the other softly; it was an innocent kiss, sweet, soft and gentle, with only their lips touching. He can feel Yesung sobbing into the kiss, but he waited for a few seconds before pulling away.

Yesung stared at the younger, confusion painted on his tear-stricken face. His expression seemed like asking why did the other do that, but he was sure he wasn't mad about it. It actually felt comforting, and before he realized it, he stopped crying. Only his sniffles could be heard as silence slowly crept up between them again. Ryeowook smilled and brushed Yesung's fringe to make his small eyes more visible.

"I really like you, Yesung."
